If you'd like to make a quick buck it doesn't matter what you promote.
But if you' like to create a stable source of revenue and build a long-term business asset that will continue to pay you for years to come, you need to promote the best possible products.
Because every product you promote ultimately reflects back on you — your reputation, your expertise, your integrity.
Your Reputation: Protect Your Asset
Golfers have a high passion-index for their sport. They are loyal and sometimes fanatical. Do right by them, and they'll do right by you. Send them crap — even once — and they'll never trust you again.
The good news is that there are a number of quality golf products to promote. The bad news is that there are even more that are awful — some embarrassingly bad. Stay away from the bad ones.
Your long term success in the golf niche is going to depend on your ability to:
- Generate traffic
- Build a list
- Maintain a solid relationship with that list

The Track Record and the Credentials
I'm not just a weekend warrior who decided to write a golf book.
I've been playing golf at the highest levels since I was a junior champion in Michigan. I played college golf at Stanford University. I was the Assistant/JV coach at Stanford. I was a ranked amateur player.
I turned Pro when I won the World Long Drive Championship in 2003, and I'm known as one of the most consistent competitors in long drive. I was the Rookie of the Year on the LDA Long Drive Tour. I'm the only long driver to ever win the Open and Senior divisions in the same tournament. I've qualified for the World Long Drive Championships each of the past 8 years, notching a win, a couple of third-place finishes, and seven top 10 finishes.
Not only do I have the credentials that come from competing and winning at the highest levels, I've invested more than $100,000 in my own golf education just so I could be more help to my students.
I went back to school to get a Masters Degree in Sport Psychology because the mental aspect of the game was such a key factor in helping me win the World Championship title. Now mental skills are an integral part of what I teach, which is one of the reasons my products are so helpful to my students and customers. I also completed all three levels of the PGA training program and earned my PGA Class A status — the equivalent of another Masters degree in golf.
Today I am one of less than a handful out of the 26,000 PGA professionals who is formally trained in both the golf swing and in sport psychology, and I am a consulting Subject Matter Expert to the PGA on applied sport psychology techniques.
My training allows me to bring a unique perspective to helping golfers play their best golf. It shows in the depth of my instruction and more importantly in the success of my students and customers.

How to Promote My Products
There are two ways you can earn income promoting my products:
- Through an on-line merchant like Clickbank or PayDotCom, or;
- As a Direct Affiliate.
My preference would be to work with you as a direct affiliate. It's easier for me to keep you updated on new products and marketing, and you'll earn a higher commission. Click any of the green "Yes I want to be a direct affiliate" buttons to go directly to the form.
Promote Through Clickbank
If, however, you prefer to promote through Clickbank or PayDotCom it's pretty simple.
All you have to do is create your affiliate account, select a nick name, generate a link using your NickName and my product code (LDChamp), and put the link in an email or on a website.
Signing up with Clickbank (or PayDotCom) is free and takes about 5 minutes.
Here's an example of what the Clickbank link looks like after you have your NickName. PayDotCom works the same way. This link is for web pages, emails, blog posts, etc.:

Clickbank has a new "cloaking" feature which encodes your affiliate link. I suggest you use it to prevent others from hijacking your traffic and commissions. You can learn more about the Clickbank link cloaking feature on their site.
Promote as a Direct Affiliate
Promoting as a direct affiliate is simple. Just click the button to get started now.
Promoting as a direct affiliate is just like promoting through Clickbank. You get a unique affiliate code, you put it together with the product code to create you link, and then you paste your link in websites and emails.
The only difference is that there is no middle-man merchant like Clickbank. That's why you earn a higher commission. I pass the difference of what I Don't have to pay to the merchant on to you. My system tracks your links, prospects, sales, and commissions, and I pay you directly through PayPal each month. All of your information is available for you to view whenever you want.
Advantages of being a Direct Affiliate
But there are a lot more advantages than just higher commissions when you sign up as a direct affiliate.
FIRST, the affiliate management system I've chosen has an outstanding tracking system. It tracks by both cookie and IP. The benefit to you is far greater assurance that you'll get credit when your customer buys. That means more money in your pocket in the long run.
SECOND, that customer Stays linked to your affiliate code. When that customer buys additional products any time in the future, you'll get credit. That means your potential upside is far greater than just the commission you get on one product. You could be paid multiple times for just one customer.
THIRD, because the tracking system has a unique way to link your affiliate code with a prospect, that prospect doesn't even have to buy anything to create your affiliate/prospect link.

You can promote my free products to your customers and when your customer signs up for the freebie, that customer will always be linked to you. Giving good content away for free is easy! It makes you look good and your customers feel great.

FOURTH, you can make more money through upsells. As we release more products we'll structure upsells for each of them. That means when you have a customer who is making a purchase of one product, we'll have a special, one-time offer for them for additional products. PGA Approved Logos

If you have a website you'll have access to pre-written review pages. All you have to do is cut and paste, and insert your affiliate link. Review pages haven't lost any popularity on the internet, and they are a great way to build content as you build your site towards an authority site.
Tips and Suggestions for Effective Marketing
Here are some ideas to help you maximize your return on time and money:
First, your job as an affiliate is to RECOMMEND. You don't need to create your own sales process. The best thing you can do is send an interested visitor to the sales page we have already created. Instead of selling, just warm them up. Pique their interest. Establish trust by providing valuable content (we'll even help you with the content!). All you want to do is send them to the site with an "open-to-buy" frame of mind.
Second, start planning now for ways to begin building your own list of subscribers. You don't have to produce original content. All you have to do is be a good recommender of content. There is so much golf content available you'll score a lot of points by being a good filter — saving your list time and confusion. And when you recommend, try to keep the ratio to about 4 or 5 free recommendations to every one paid recommendation.
Here are some suggested ways to promote:
- Add links to websites. Log In to view your unique affiliate ID (if you are already enrolled in our affiliate program) or use your Clickbank or PayDotCom affiliate link
- Write Articles
- Write Reviews
- Put links in newsletters
- Send out an endorsement email to your list or another list
- PPC – Google, MSN, and Yahoo
- Facebook PPC – the up-and-coming way to do ppc
- Tweet or post on Facebook (but don't spam!)
- Google Content Network
- Put a banner on your site.
- Use "give-away" reports to build your own list.
- Use a link in your "signature" line when commenting in golf-related forums.
- Create a blog. If you aren't the kind of affiliate who creates their own blog posts, do a blog search, find 3 or 4 golf-blogs you like, and subscribe to their RSS feeds for your posts.
- Social Media. Twitter, YouTube, Facebook Fan Pages, etc.
