Interview: Pat Hurst – How To Get Ready For Golf
Pat Hurst joined the LPGA Tour 16 years ago and quickly established a name for herself, earning Rookie of the Year honors. She’s won 6 times on the LPGA Tour, played on 5 Solheim Cup teams, and posted career earnings of more than $6.7 million. She is a graduate of San Jose State University, and was an accomplished amateur golfer. When someone with Pat’s experience speaks, you know it will be worth your time.
Pat happens to live here in Northern California and was at our facility getting her game in shape. She was gracious enough to take time out of her pre-season practice to answer a few questions for us. Watch this video to learn how a veteran golfer prepares in the off season. You’ll pick up some insightful tips that will help your golf game.
In particular, note how she starts out each season focusing on the basics. She also shares some interesting ideas about how she develops her “feel” for her swing and her shots. When you are “in the Zone” it’s all about feel, not mechanics, so this could really help your play on the course.
